To the followers
Hello to whomever you are and who wishes to follow me on my journey. For those of you who are unaware, I have decided to travel the United States. Why? I have plenty of reasons; adventure, curiosity, soul searching, but mainly because I havent got a real clue of what the hell im doing in life. Now, I know, many of you out there will say "Neither do I but im not taking a goddamn trip across the country. Doesn't he know how much gas is?" Yes, I know about the gas and yes I understand that im not the only one. However, while everyone else was out getting married, having babies, buying houses, settling into a career, I remain tieless. Why? Im not sure. My debt is there but it is pretty much basic debt; phone, college, car, car insurance. I have no woman (surprise) and my job and I recently decided to part ways. I'm not gonna get into who's to blame or play the name game so lets just say the split was amicable and we are no longer seeing each other. Home for me is a blank paper. I have people I care about and love in three states and have no concept of the roots which so many around me do. This is why I'm taking time away. Call it a crossroads, moment of truth, manifest destiny, the last hooray, the call of the wild, or a slight mental retardation but let it be known that in the end its my journey. I hope that you smile and laugh with me along the way. It is not my intention on writing depressing shit or trying to make people laugh. Im just gonna write purely on observation. I hope that in that, I enjoy my trip and my new encounters and that you who follow will come to better understand what the hell I'm doing and who I am. Along the way I plan on quoting movies, singing and playing horrible songs, posting ridiculous pictures, going to strange places and meeting different people. I'll try to keep the cursing to a minimum, I know there's some old timers out there who didnt have cursing back in there day but remember...this is Jim Turchetta. In the end, I'll probably still end up being me but I'll no doubt have the experience of a lifetime. Enjoy.
